If you are just curious about what you are getting and don't need the realtime info you can get one of these:

I had to get one for work and it works well and only about $30. We were looking for non ethanol gas. I couldn't find any at the time-most was 4-7%. We finally got some 110 octane in Dawsonville that doesn't have any ethanol in it.
I spoke to the owner. She painted a pretty grim picture of E10 especially for performance. If it absorbs water it can lower octane.

Yeah Zeitronix is really top notch stuff from what I remember back in my DSM days. Their new gauge display is awesome too....has a built in GPS and you can run any gauge you would need plus all the OBDII outputs in one unit and it's touchscreen with no need for a computer or laptop.

so i go to that website and it says you need a flex-fuel controller..
now what i'd like to know.. is it possible to convert wrx/sti to flex fuel.. by that i mean .. say you have half tank 93, you top off on e85 putting your e content something less than 85.. then you top off again at 1/4 empty and so on.. and your EMS adjust accordingly..
this instead of running multiple maps and having to empty your tank of fuel A before loading up on fuel B and then setting map accordingly..

I would say no with the stock ECU. There is no allocations for different fuel types in the maps.

Yeah you would have to have some method of switching maps...at least timing if nothing else based on an input from that device. Would be pretty much impossible on the stock ecu with current programming.

i know the stock ECU wont do this.. but i wonder if one of the stand-alones or piggy backs can....

I am sure there would be some way to hook it up. It would have to be a pretty elaborate set up though. Several different timing maps at the very least.
