Call Discount Tire for this deal, they don't show up on the website. 1-800-589-6789. They got some kind of buyout deal on these and are selling them cheap. Only 3 sizes available:

215/40/17 $110
235/40/17 $116
235/40/18 $120

I talked to a guy on ext. 410, and ordered 8 of them in 235/40-17 a few minutes ago. This is about 1/2 of what tirerack charges. FREE SHIPPING :)

Regular pricing from their regular website:
215/40R-17 83Y BW $225.00
235/40R-17 90Y BW $250.00
235/40R-18 91Y BW $248.00

Why won't 215/40-17 work on your 17x7 wheels? Stock is 215/45-17, and the slightly thinner sidewall shouldn't matter too much. Will actually help the gearing a bit.

i'm guessing so if you bought 8 of them ;)

These won't be track tires, but they will give us a reason to use up the re070s on the track. I am tired of the re070s and their inability to work well in the rain. The s03 tires are just as sticky, and work great in the rain. The sidewalls aren't quite as stiff, but they are great tires.

Good info. Have fun burning up the 070's.

The tires were waiting at the front door when I got home yesterday:

We now have 34 tires inside our house... time to put burn up the 070s and put on some fresh rubber.

I got mine yesterday as well. w00t,w00t!!

Haven't had time to check the manufacture date and make
sure they're not too old though.

34 tires..... jeeez. These tires are wreaking in my garage, I can't
imagine what 34 of them smell like.

nah, they don't smell bad.. or we have gotten used to it. Need to keep them aside to avoid extra heat cycles ;) 4 of them are in the basement, and I will move another 14 down there soon.
